The Wellington Fire Protection District (WFPD) is seeking qualified applicants to establish an eligibility list for the position of

Reserve Firefighter-EMT
​
The Reserve Firefighter is a non-paid sworn member of the fire district that is required to shift 48 hours per month at the fire station in 24-hour increments (24 or 48 hours), (0700-0700 hours). This position is supervised by the Shift Lieutenant, and duties include emergency response, public education, training, station and equipment maintenance, among others.
WFPD is a growing, progressive combination fire district that operates three shifts out of two staffed stations, and its employees work a 48/96 shift schedule. The Reserve Firefighter receives a monthly stipend and will gain firefighter and EMS experience in a progressive and fun environment.

Minimum requirements: (Required by start date)

High school diploma or GED

Valid Colorado Driver’s License

Current State of Colorado EMTB
-
Current AHA CPR Provider
-
CPAT certificate
-
Current Colorado State IFSAC/ProBoard FFI
-
Current Colorado State IFSAC/ProBoard Hazmat Awareness and Operations
-
NWCG Red Card
-
NIMS 100, 200, 700, & 800 (Available online)
