REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: WELLINGTON FIRE AERIAL APPARATUS PROJECT

The Wellington Fire Protection District is seeking qualified fire apparatus firms for the construction of a new build aerial quint apparatus meeting the bid specifications listed below. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued to qualified fire apparatus manufacturers who are required to submit their proposal. Information will be obtained from the Proposal submitted in response to the RFP document, interviews, and discussions with former and present clients of Offerors. This RFP shall not commit the Wellington Fire Protection District to enter into any agreement to pay any expenses incurred in preparation of any response to this request, or to procure or contract for any supplies, goods or services.
All equipment shall be new and of current design and manufacture. Used or refurbished equipment is unacceptable. The District’s overall goal in soliciting these proposals is to identify the most responsible and capable Vendor that meets the requirements indicated in this proposal to satisfy the needs of the District.
The Wellington Fire Protection District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses to this RFP.

Description:

The Wellington Fire Protection District (DISTRICT) is requesting proposals from qualified design consultants to assist in the design of new construction and alterations, and to provide expert assistance for the planning, design, and construction administration and over construction of new fire station/training center(s) to meet the DISTRICT’s needs.
Design Assistance Consultants shall apply to DISTRICT to be part of the program. Consultants meeting the criteria, as determined by the DISTRICT Request for Qualification Review Committee, will be placed on a list that will be provided to the DISTRICT Board of Directors. Consultants on the list must have demonstrated their competency in historically compatible projects.
